Operators
DeFcor Operators: Empowering Staking and Securing AVS Networks
DeFcor leverages a network of operators, who can be individuals or organizations. These operators play a vital role in the ecosystem. They enable Ethereum (ETH) stakers to delegate their holdings, encompassing both native ETH and Liquidity Staking Tokens (LSTs). After registering with DeFcor, operators can select whether to provide services to Actively Validated Services (AVSs). This decision can be based on a comprehensive evaluation of various factors, including risk assessments, projected AVS growth, target user demographics, and the founding team's credentials. By contributing their services, operators become instrumental in bolstering the security and functionality of these AVS networks.
Criteria To Become A DeFcor Operator
The DeFcor ecosystem welcomes anyone to participate as an Operator. No minimum amount of staked tokens is required, making it accessible to all Ethereum address holders. Interestingly, an address can even fulfil the dual role of Restaker (performing liquid or native restaking) and Operator concurrently. However, this dual role is entirely optional. Operators can contribute to the network even without having any restaked tokens themselves.
Typically, Operators will choose to receive token delegations from other Restakers within DeFcor. Alternatively, they can opt for self-delegation by allocating their own staked tokens. This flexibility empowers Operators to tailor their participation based on their individual preferences.
